Conveniently located in the heart of Canberra, East Hotel is a family affair with Italian roots. Our 140-room boutique property stretches the mould of a “design hotel” with an emphasis on moody and sumptuous interiors alongside warm and authentic service.

Since opening our doors in 2012, EAST has grown and become a destination for both visitors to Canberra and local Canberrans.

Visitors walk into our lobby and are instantly engaged, curious and surprised, whether they are staying with us, enjoying an aperitivo Negroni at Joe’s Bar, or sharing our house-made gnocchi and pizza at Agostinis with loved ones.

"I would not stay anywhere else in Canberra by choice. This hotel has a warm friendly welcoming feel about it backed up by large comfortable rooms and great service. 3 night stay this time and not a thing to complain abut and plenty to be happy about. Such a treat to have a bar in the hotel and a breakfast restaurant (MUSE) and a dining option at night. Throw in free parking and the location and you cannot go wrong."

"Loved our one-bedroom apartment. It was spacious and had an expansive view. It even included a little balcony. Liked how the shower and toilet were separate. Also liked the use of refillable toiletries and Who Gives A Crap toilet paper/tissues. Great idea having a wastepaper basket for recycling. Thank you for the wine,chocolates and pizzas! We'll be back!"

"What an amazing place to stay with a family. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite and it was perfect. The kids had their own room and bathroom, there was a common living area with a kitchen - and even a washing machine and dryer!! The bed and pillows were so comfortable. The service was fantastic and the kids loved the lolly jars at reception and the Easter egg hunt on Easter Sunday. This is one of the best places I’ve stayed at with children for a very long time. Really enjoyed our time in Canberra and wouldn’t stay anywhere else when visiting again."

"We stayed for our family visit to Canberra with our children aged 8 & 10. The room set up, onsite dining and gym were all great. We used the local pool which was also included in our stay. We walked to the Kingston foreshore multiple times which was convenient. I highly recommend this hotel for an easy family stay."
